Dr Winnie Tong

Dr Winnie Tong is a consultant immunologist, allergist and immunopathologist with a specialist interest in allergy and autoimmunity. She has appointments as a Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s Hospital, and consults at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Clinic. Dr Tong has a PhD in T-cell responses to human papillomavirus (HPV) in men with anal high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions. Since 2017, she established and chairs an allergy focused clinical research network known as the Sydney Paediatric and Adult Allergy Network (SPAAN). She has been a Conjoint Senior Lecturer of the Faculty since 2017. Her research has been supported by grants from the Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise (SPHERE), St Vincent’s Clinic and Curran Foundations. Winnie is dedicated to leading clinically relevant research that improves patient care, and educating students and patients about the implications of basic and clinical immunology on human health.
