Ulcerative Colitis is one of the most common forms of inflammatory bowel disease, causing inflammation of the large intestine. This life-long disease involves symptoms that often come and go, having a significant impact on patient’s emotional, physical and social wellbeing. Thanks to the support of the St Vincent's Clinic Foundation, Dr Simon Ghaly is investigating the efficacy of a new method of treatment that would transform these patients’ quality of life.
