The Department of Sports Medicine provides a comprehensive service for sports people of all levels and disciplines. For the weekend warrior, the weekday slogger or elite athletes, the department’s sports doctors provide the highest level of care to have their clients back in the game as safely and quickly as possible.
The Sports Medicine Department is involved in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries, including workplace and overuse injuries. The Sports Physicians are also responsible for the health and fitness of elite teams such as the Australian Rugby Union Team, the Wallabies, Australian Rugby 7’s, Tennis Australia, 2015 Cricket World Cup, Australian Women’s Basketball and Australian Water Polo teams. They also work with local schools and Universities providing a comprehensive sports medicine service.
