Our Services For the weekend warrior, the weekday slogger or elite athlete, the Department’s sports doctors provide the highest level of care to have their clients back in the game as safely and quickly as possible. The Sports Medicine Department is involved in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries, including workplace and overuse injuries. The Sports and Exercise Physicians are responsible for the health and fitness of elite teams, previously including the Australian Wallabies, GWS Giants and Tennis Australia. We are still involved in the ongoing care of the Australian 7’s Rugby team and the Australian Women’s Basketball team. They have also provided care at the last two Olympic Games, the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
