Investigations provided include: 2D, 3D AND 4D Echocardiographic Studies including: Transoesophageal Echocardiography Stress Echocardiography (treadmill & dobutamine) Mobile Echocardiography for inpatients Echocardiography with bubble study to exclude septal defects/patent foramen ovale Four echocardiogram machines, two stress echocardiography laboratories and 3D/4D equipment provide the latest technology available Electrocardiography including: 12-lead Electrocardiograms Stress Testing Holter Monitoring Event Recorders (loop and direct chest monitoring) Measurement of Late Potentials (SAECG) 24-hour ambulatory BP monitoring Non-invasive cardiology tests are carried out under the supervision of Dr David Baron, Professor Michael Feneley AM, Dr Cathie Forster, Professor Chris Hayward, Dr Neil Jacobs, Professor Anne Keogh, Dr Eugene Kotlyar, Professor David Muller, Dr Mayoram Namasivayam, Dr Andrew Roy, Dr David Roy, NProfessor Rajesh Subbiah Dr Camilla Wainwright and Dr Bruce Walker. These thirteen cardiologists cover every discipline of Cardiology, and each is a leader in their field. They provide the largest and most comprehensive cardiac diagnostic service in the Eastern Suburbs. The indications for stress echocardiography are similar to those for stress nuclear studies. Stress echocardiography has largely replaced stress ECG testing.
