St Vincent's Clinic Foundation

St Vincent's Clinic Foundation was established in 1992 to further the educational and research objectives of the Clinic. A passionate belief that research and education are essential to quality clinical care has seen the initial donation of $1000 from St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney grow to over $15 million and the Foundation now provides substantial support for research on the St Vincent's Darlinghurst Campus and the St Joseph's Auburn Campus.

The research funded covers a wide range of projects including medical research, basic research, multidisciplinary research and also has an emphasis on supporting young and upcoming researchers on the Campus. Click here for more information on our research grants.

The Foundation is proud to have contributed more than $12 million in funding for research and education projects across the St Vincent's Campus and St Joseph's Hospital, contributing to the exceptional research reputations of St Vincent's.

"The St Vincent's Clinic Foundation enables me, as a clinician, to engage in research that is at the very coalface of clinical practice. The sort of research that marries research with clinical medicine. Funding of this sort of research is becoming harder to obtain and I am grateful to the Foundation for its support of clinical scientific endeavour"  A/Prof Katherine Samaras - recipient of the 2007 Sr Mary Bernice Grant.
